Item Description
Collection of 4 dishes including Hubaudiere Quimper dishes along with a pair of Quimper slender, wavy figural dishes. Including a fine pair of Hubaudière Quimper figural ceramic dishes, circa 1860-1900.
This pair of octagonal dishes with rounded form and decorated with floral motif around the trim with the interior being divided into two wells. The upper well of one of the pair depicting a traditional Breton man and the second dish with a woman. A moulded and polychrome finished asparagus branch separates the upper well with the lower well which is decorated with foliate motif.
Marked HB underfoot.

The second pair of dishes marked are narrow and decorated in horizontal fashion. The dishes have wavy trims with yellow glaze. The dishes are also decorated with one depicting a traditional Breton man and the second depicting a traditional Breton woman. Both with elaborate, polychrome decorated floral motifs.
Marked HR Quimper seen underneath the figural reserves in the interior.

Condition: There appears to be well executed restoration of a chip to one of the pair of shaped circular dishes and some glaze chips to the rim edges of the slender dishes. Some sticker residue to the underfoot of the dishes.
Despite wear the group of four dishes present very well.
