A heavily carved set, the oak table with a carved apron with band of rosettes. Raised on large carved male and female genre figures for the legs. The curved side stretchers with turned supports and a center stretcher with a band of spindles. With a single leaf.
Along with six side chairs also heavily carved and scrolled, the tall backs with relief carved medallions with male and female genre figures. Raised on turned legs with H stretchers. The seats upholstered in machine tapestry fabric in a pattern of foliate squares.
Condition: the table top and base worn. The chairs with worn legs, stretchers and back decoration, one chair with loose back joinery and all seats worn, one chair is damaged and broken. faded and stained. Top of the table with worn finish, could benefit from a refinishing. Please review the photos as they are part of the condition report.
This dining set will not be available for inspection during the preview. They are currently located at our Fairfield building and will be available for pick up in Fairfield on Friday 11/17 and Saturday 11/18 or will be transported to Greenwich Saturday 11/18. Please contact our gallery to make pick up arrangements.
