Item Description
A Chinese glazed ceramic roof tile with a fabulously potted foo dog.
The foo dog is presented in seated position on an arched platform. The foo dog has detailed fur in curls around the back of its ferocious head and its tail is curled upwards.
Provenance: Vallin Galleries, Oriental Art.
Condition
There are losses to the glazed finish with the ceramic body showing and crackled glaze is also observable. Despite wear which is commensurate with vast age and display handling the roof tile presents fabulously.
