A fine collection of 4 HB Quimper, polychrome decorated, yellow ground ceramic dishes.
Including:
- A fine pair of octagonal form dishes, one with Breton man and its mate with a Breton woman, both dressed in traditional attire. The figures are presented in profile in the landscape with a pine tree and foliage on green grass. The borders with alternating foliate and basket weave motif with blue bands separating the reserves.
All on yellow glazed ground.
Both are marked underfoot, one marked HB Quimper / France / 303 / R-2, while the second is marked HB Quimper / France / 103 CF.
5 1/2"H x 5 1/2"W - of both dishes
- Together with a circular ceramic dish with upturned rim. The central figural scene with a Breton man holding a pipe while wearing traditional attire within a landscape with a pine tree and foliage on green grass with birds above. The border with two blue bands flanking a lovely continuous floral band. All on yellow ground.
Marked underfoot HB Quimper / France.
Also with two labels underfoot.

- Lastly with a HB Quimper ceramic bowl decorated with four bands in varied color around the upswept and slightly flared rim. The central bowl decorated with a Breton man holding a pipe in traditional attire in a landscape with foliage on either side and grass below his feet. A flock of birds above. All on yellow ground.
Marked HB Quimper / France / 00 / 16 or 76 underfoot.

Disclaimer: All Quimper and Porquier Beau lots have wear and minor losses with glaze imperfections commensurate with age and handling. Look through the lot images carefully, these lots are being sold in As Is condition.
Condition: There are chips and losses to the glazed trim of the bowl with wear and pockmarked losses to one section of the interior. The single dish with a chip to the glazed finish on the underside of the rim. There is wear to the glazed finish around the entire trim with numerous nics and glaze losses. The pair of smaller octagonal dishes are fitted with metallic brackets to hang which could be removed if desired. One of the dishes has a chip and loss of glaze to the underside with other wear to the finish but overall despite wear the dishes all present well.
