Item Description
Collection of 6 Quimper polychrome finished ceramic wares consisting of a pair of lidded teacups, a quatrefoil form armorial decorated teacup, a lidded teapot along with a small cream pitcher and octagonal handled vessel.
each with polychromed decoration depicting traditional Breton figures along with floral and foliage and insects to the octagonal two handled octagonal vesse.
All are marked with the exception of the quatrefoil form armorial teacup.
Marks include HB; HR; HR Quimper
5 7/8"H x 6 1/2"L - of largest, teapot
3 1/4"H - of smallest, pair of lidded teacups
Provenance: Heritage Auction, 3/10/2016, partial lot (2 of the 6) were part of lot # 63837
Disclaimer: All Quimper and Porquier Beau lots have wear and minor losses with glaze imperfections commensurate with age and handling. Look through the lot images carefully, these lots are being sold in As Is condition.
Condition: There is glaze chipping to creamer, creamer with repaired handle, glaze chipping to octagonal vase. All have some scuffing to undersides and some have old sticker residue along with scattered patches of crazing.
The lids of the teapot and pair of lidded teacups are all affixed with putty do keep affixed which could be removed if desired.
