Stunning late 19th. C. French oak armoire. Supported on four carved legs, the armoire features a pair of hinged doors with elaborately shaped brass hardware together with iron hinges.
The pair of hinged doors feature shaped panels, with star carved embellishment to each door.
The chest has a carved, scalloped apron. The armoire with a wonderful honey hued finish.
Interior fitted with shelves and two drawers, one with key escutcheon but no key present.
Exterior doors with a key that functions to lock.
Provenance: Country Loft Antiques - Woodbury, CT
Wear to the wood commensurate with age and use. Corners appear to a break with possible old restoration with some splits see lot images. There is a lock for the outer door lock, but no key for the interior drawers. Please review the photos as they are part of the condition report.
