Peter Kalill began his career with sketches and caricatures and after his college graduation moved to Cape Cod where his early works were mostly painted en plein air. However as his career moved forward he moved more towards painting in his studio to "slow down the process"
Kalill has been "exhibited in the Cape Cod Museum of Art, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum... His paintings have also been exhibited in juried shows, including ones put on by the Copley Society of Art and the Guild of Boston Artists."
The current painting depicts a street scene in Boston, MA with a beautifully painted building facade with doorway, picture window, street lamp and mailbox.
Signed lower right.
Presented in a handsome gilt finished trimmed, black finished wood frame.
Provenance: Addison Art Gallery, Orleans, MA.
