Item Description
A Porquier Beau Quimper armorial ceramic two handled jardiniere, ca. 1875-1904.
The finely crafted and decorated two handled jardiniere having a scalloped trim. Blue and white glazed curved handles with armorial illustrations to thumb mounts. The body decorated with yellow and blue scrollwork featuring two large cartouches with one to either side. One reserve depicting an idyllic figural landscape with a Breton man and woman with child and the other features floral motifs.
Standing on a quatrefoil form foot ring.
Marked PB, Rosporden underfoot in underglaze blue.

Condition: Some light wear and a glaze chip to footed rim. Another glaze chip to handle with what appears to be professional restoration to hairline crack to handle. Despite wear the two handled bowl presents well.
