William Malherbe (French, 1884-1951) oil painting on canvas depicting a gorgeous impressionist still life of vibrant pink, purple, yellow, and white blooms in a glass vase over a dappled blue, white, and yellow background. The vibrant colors and detailed forms come together to create a whimsical, dream-like aesthetic. Signed and dated lower right.
Displayed with a linen liner and silvered filet in a rustic ashen gray painted frame with parcel gilt accents over relief flourishes.

Condition
Craquelure to the lower half of the painting. Some wear to the impasto painted finish. Stains to interior frame trim. Loss of gilt finish to the frame.
